Curriculum:

Ahmed Sayem is a PhD student at the department of Industrial Engineering of Universidad Politecnica de Madrid (UPM), and at the department of Industrial Economics and Management of KTH, in the European Doctorate in Industrial Management (EDIM) program. He is awarded Erasmus Mundus Joint Doctorate (EMJD) fellowship allowing him to be one of the nine PhD candidates of the EDIM 3rd Edition.

His research interests involve divers areas of industrial management viz. Supply Chain Management/ Supply Network, Sustainable Organization, Management and Cost Accounting, Productivity Assessment and Improvement, Service Marketing and Strategy etc. He has successfully completed various research projects in these fields. He has published various articles in such journals as International Journal of Industrial and Systems Engineering, International Journal of Engineering Management and Economics, International Journal of Fashion Design, Technology and Education, Journal of Engineering and Technology, Int. Journal of Machining and Machinability of Materials.
He received his Master of Science degree in Management, Economics and Industrial Engineering from Politecnico di Milano (PoliMi), Italy. Ahmed Sayem holds B.Sc. in Industrial & Production Engineering, from Shahjalal University of Science & Technology (SUST), Sylhet, Bangladesh. He was awarded an ICE-UNIONCAMERE (Merit based) Scholarship to study his M.Sc.; and university merit scholarship during studying his B.Sc.
Before joined in EDIM, Ahmed Sayem holds the position of full-time faculty member in the department of Industrial and Production Engineering, Shahjalal University of Science and Technology, Bangladesh (from march 2004).
