Yasmin Mahgoub is a PhD student in the department of Industrial Economics and Management (INDEK) in the European doctorate in Industrial Management programme (EDIM III). Her research interests involve areas of industrial management that support Innovation Management in industry and society e.g. open innovation, mobile payment system, and cashless society.
Yasmin  Mahgoub  holds a B.Sc. in Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Agriculture Engineering from University of Khartoum –Sudan (2002).
Yasmin Mahgoub holds an MSc in Information and Industrial Engineering, from (Yonsei University, Seoul –South Korea 2010-2012)
In 2013 she joined INDEK as she was awarded a fellowship for an Erasmus Mundus Joint Doctorate allowing her to be one of the nine PhD candidates of the EDIM programme (3rd edition).

Work Experiences

  • She has more than four years of work experience outside of academia includes Coordinating the activities of production and operating workers, such as inspectors, precision workers, machine setters and operators, in leading Manufacturing in Sudan.
  • Then working at Korean Embassy in Khartoum as coordinator.
  • During, her master study she involves in research project belong to the National Research Foundation of Korea the Main responsibilities was to Define the Open innovation by User Participation. And classify the type of Open innovation by User Participation.

Awards and Achievements

2009- 2012: Korean Government Scholarship holder.
2010: A scholarship Certificate for outstanding academic achievement, from a legal non-profit corporation global movement centre-Seoul, South Korea.
2011/ 2012: Best Academic Performance, International Office –Yonsei University

Current research:

Innovation in Mobile Payment System.
Collaboration between Mobile Payment Providers.
Investigate Open Innovation, Collaboration Networks within MPS.
