Curriculum:

Maxim is a Ph.D. student in the European Doctorate in Industrial Management program (EDIM) since September 2012. His research interests involve project governance and project complexity with the focus on emerging collaborative and distributed ways of project organizing in complex environments.

He holds a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Applied Mathematics and Physics with honors from Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (State University).

Maxim Miterev was awarded an Erasmus Mundus Scholarship to study his M.Sc. in Strategic Project Management, graduating in 2012 with triple degree with distinction from Heriot-Watt University (Edinburgh, UK), MIP – Politecnico di Milano (Milan, Italy) and Umeå University (Umeå, Sweden).

In 2012 he was awarded a fellowship from the EU to join Erasmus Mundus Joint Doctorate Program organized by the consortium of KTH - Royal Institute of Technology (Stockholm, Sweden), POLIMI (Milan, Italy) and UPM (Madrid, Spain), with KTH as a Home University and POLIMI as a Host.

Besides, Maxim Miterev has more than five years of professional experience outside academia, working as a management consultant both at Roland Berger Strategy Consultants GmbH and independently, as well as assuming various analytical and managerial positions at Strategy departments and PMOs across a range of industries. This experience has helped him to gain insights on contemporary business environment and crucial challenges organizations face nowadays.

Since August 2015 he has been serving as a reviewer for the International Journal of Project Management.

In April 2014 he received a Highly Commended Thesis award from the Swedish Project Academy for my master thesis "The Nature of The Relationship between Project Complexity and Project Delay" which was defended at Umeå University (Sweden) in January 2012.
