Andres Ramirez-Portilla candidate at KTH and POLIMI has recently been awarded a "Jubilee grant" for young researchers from the Knut and Alice Wallenberg Foundation to possibly attend the 6th ISPIM Innovation Symposium in Australia at the end of the year.
The Knut and Alice Wallenberg foundation is the largest financier of research in Sweden. During the past five years, the Foundation has granted the total of SEK 5 billion for various projects, mainly at Swedish Universities.
In KTH, this foundation supports, amongst many other projects, the "Jubilee" grant, which is a travel, grant that covers registration fee and the cost of travel (not accommodation) to attend conferences outside Sweden.
Demand for these scholarships is very large and the travel grants are given up to a maximum of SEK 15,000 (approximately 1,700 EUR).
